Biography (continued)
Recorded in a battery hen house in that hot, heady summer of 1974 you can still hear the gasps of suprise from several of the fowl present. The guest musicians that appeared on some of the songs included the identical triplets Dill, Delilah and Doris Hogan (younger sisters of Scoot etc) playing a wonderfully evocative 3 part flute interlude, Max Hogan playing Eggs and Neen and Ween Hogan (identical twin daughters of Scoot) singing some superlative backing vocals.
Cheevers, the mysterious 6th Hogan, was not born right and as was the fashion in those days he was kept in a locked cage in the basement and fed meatballs everyday. He escaped in 1979 and is thought to reside in the region of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington DC under the pseudonym of George.
Unfortunately for the musical among us, Scoot and his band converted to Naturism and now live in Finland and have not recorded since. There are, however, rumours of the band reforming under the name Scoot Hogan and His Frost Bitten Bits but these are unsubstantiated so far.
